Great Gardeners

The children were very busy learning all about plants and the different parts of a plant. We thought what better way to find out what plants need to grow, than to get planting. We had a lovely day getting our hands dirty whilst planting sunflowers and runner beans.

History
Toys from the past!!

What a fun topic this was!! We have been taking a look at toys from the past and comparing them with toys we have today. The children carried out interviews with their parents and grandparents, which in turn brought about great discussions in class. We were introduced to the concepts of 'old' and 'new', and we all described our favourite toy.

Thanks to everyone who took part in the interviews and for sending in some terrific toys!

Check out some of our photos!!

Science-

We have been learning all about our five senses. The children used all five senses to explore marshmallows! We came up with lots of interesting words to describe what we could smell, feel, see, hear and of course what the marshmallows tasted like!!!
