Snow Play

Dear Parents,

Tomorrow for the ‘Snow Play’ we would ask that all children wear their PE tracksuits. The show will run from 12:00pm until 12:50pm. On the way home the children will be able to eat their lunch on the bus. Please send a piece of lunch with your child that will be easy for them to eat, such as a sandwich, roll and fruit.  They may also bring a small treat. We will be back at school before 2pm so pick up time for infants will be as normal.

The afternoon will run from 2:15pm until 3pm.

Within the afternoon I would encourage you to raise any questions you may have, and also let me know of any particular areas you would like me to go through.

Halloween!!

Hope you all had a very happy and spooky Halloween break. We all had so much fun in class doing lots of scary Halloween activities  from designing witch's legs, carving our pumpkin, writing up our very own potions, and stirring up some vampire blood and witch guts during our science experiment. We had lots of scary characters in our class that day from Dracula, Mr. Wolf, ghosts, black cats, Iron man, Frankenstein and a rather interesting donkey's head! Please take a look at our photos.
Guess who?

History
Toys from the past!!

What a fun topic this was!! We have been taking a look at toys from the past and comparing them with toys we have today. The children carried out interviews with their parents and grandparents, which in turn brought about great discussions in class. We were introduced to the concepts of 'old' and 'new', and we all described our favourite toy. Thanks to everyone who took part in the interviews and for sending in some terrific toys!

Check out some of our photos!!

Autumn Art!

Our  Vibrant Autumn Art!!

We created an Autumn tree using both real pressed leaves and leaf templates. We had great fun painting the leaves using all the Autumn colours. A sprinkle of glitter was added too for that extra bit of sparkle! As well as that we all came up with lots of words that best describe Autumn.

The five Senses

In science we have been learning all about our five senses. The children used all five senses to explore marshmallows. We came up with lots of interesting words to describe what marshmallows smell, look, sound, feel and of course taste like!!
